What the espresso bean subscription sends
This espresso bean subscription is the club with the style set to espresso-friendly: every box brings a 12 oz bag a Colorado roaster made for the espresso machine, roasted to order and shipped in their own bag. The roaster changes every box. It costs the same as any other coffee: $16.99 a bag. First bag free, you pay $7.99 shipping.

What it does not send
No machine, no pods, no capsules and no grinder. It is coffee, in the roaster's own bag, with our packing slip naming the roaster and the tasting notes. We also do not promise a particular roaster: the list below shows what Colorado roasters publish, not what is in your next box.

Altitude shapes brewing here too. Boxcar co-founder Vajra Rich studied the science of extraction after learning to brew at Boulder's elevation, and the company developed its own brewing method, the Boilermakr, from that work.
Why your espresso should come from Colorado
An espresso roast from a Colorado roaster pays for a roasting job in Colorado, not at a plant out of state. It also travels less, which matters for a coffee you want fresh in the portafilter. Why local roasters matter.

Does espresso cost more?
No. Every roast and style costs the same, $16.99 a bag, and the first bag is free with $7.99 shipping.
Can one bag be espresso and the other drip coffee?
Yes. Choose two bags and give the second bag its own roast and style, such as espresso-friendly for the machine and a light single origin for the pour over.
Will I get the same espresso twice?
Not in your first year. Each box comes from a Colorado roaster you have not had from us before.
What if an espresso does not work in my machine?
Free replacement if a bag disappoints. Tell us and we send a different coffee, and your rating steers the next bag.
