Wild Coffee Roasters is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Colorado: an independent roaster based in Silt. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
The company buys only from growers it judges to follow organic, sustainable and fair labor practices. A second cafe opened inside the Hotel Maxwell Anderson in downtown Glenwood Springs. Green coffee comes through importers such as Cafe Imports and Royal Coffee, and through the direct trade importer De La Finca.
One partner, Roberto Montero of Hacienda La Amistad in Costa Rica, handed 6,000 hectares of family land to the government for La Amistad International Park. Since organic certification can be a burden for small farms, the roaster also buys from uncertified growers using natural methods, so its bags carry no USDA organic seal. The Peru Mono Choro comes from the Sanchirio Palomar Cooperative in Junin and is named for the endangered yellow-tailed woolly monkey found only in Peru.

House blends include Happy Camper Blend and Easy Street Blend. Single origins on the list when we checked: Peru Mono Choro, Honduras Santa Lucia, Brazil Nossa Senhora, Ethiopia Kayon Mountain Washed and Guatemala ACODIHUE. Espresso: Mountain Mama Espresso Blend.
