Dynamo Coffee Roasting is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Colorado: an independent roaster based in Colorado Springs. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
Will and Leah, the owners, were born in Colorado Springs, met as high school students and both worked at Kawa Coffee while in college. After Will took an Army commission, the couple spent four years in Georgia and Alaska. His deployments included the Middle East and South Korea, while Leah took a job with a Fairbanks company that roasted and distributed coffee. A recent blog post says the pair opened Dynamo almost five years ago, aiming for a neighborhood space built around imagination, friendship and community.
Most of the menu is made from scratch, including dedicated gluten-free pastries, house syrups and food cooked to order, alongside coffee roasted in-house.

Why buying from Dynamo Coffee Roasting matters here
The owners work with other Colorado Springs businesses such as Groovy Print Shop, 505 Trolley, Yobel, Kawa Coffee and the Sourdough Boulangerie. The Tutt Boulevard cafe opens six days a week and closes on Tuesdays. The owners say students often settle in with laptops for half the day. Its Stargazer Dark Espresso blends coffees from Sumatra, Mexico and Ethiopia, and wholesale coffee is offered to local businesses.
