  • Helix Coffee Co., Airport Road. It roasts about 10 pounds at a time on a fully electric system. Single origins go light. Flow-State, the house blend for cafes, is a medium roast of 80 percent Brazil and 20 percent Ethiopia.
  • Breckenridge Coffee Roasters. Its signature coffee is aged in Breckenridge Distillery barrels that once held bourbon and rum. The head roaster's small, limited lots go into a line called Gold Standard, and the retail bags are compostable.

Frisco

Mountain Dweller Coffee Roasters roasts every bag on site, in small batches and to order, and pours at a coffee bar inside Outer Range Brewing Co. on Lusher Court. The espresso is the Ascend Blend, and the decaf, False Summit, is a washed Peru.

Breckenridge's coffee story

Mountain Dweller is the only one of the three with a founding year on record. Josh and Beth Johnson started it in 2017, roasting at home in their garage. Their liking for cafes goes back to college in Milwaukee.

Breckenridge Coffee Roasters began with a few friends who cared about the outdoors and good coffee, and it started small. The first Gold Standard lot came from the Bayter brothers of El Vergel Estates in Tolima, Colombia, whom the team met in Bogota in October 2019. In spring 2022 it collected clothes at its Ridge Street cafe to send to families displaced from Ukraine.

Helix announced a move into a new production space in 2025. It roasts inside its shop, so you can watch a batch go.

Breckenridge Coffee Roasters supplies cafes and shops in Breckenridge, Keystone, Dillon and Frisco, and Mountain Dweller runs a wholesale program for small Summit County businesses. Breckenridge Distillery turns up with both: its old barrels age one roaster's coffee, and it has carried the other's beans.

How we chose these roasters

Every roaster here roasts in Colorado and was operating when we read its own site, on the date its card shows (the list itself was last checked 2026-09-27). Facts come from each roaster's own pages, written in our words; we take nothing from reviews and show no ratings. No roaster pays to be listed, and a listing does not mean the roaster is part of the club. Run a roaster here and something is off? Email coffee@fourteenercoffeeclub.com and we correct or remove the page.
