Malegría Coffee Roasters is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Colorado: an independent roaster based in Fort Collins, founded in 2023. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
The family has grown coffee for generations in the Quindio mountains of Colombia, and that heritage led Carlos and Linda to start roasting. Roasting began in 2023, and in August 2025 the pair opened a kiosk on the Front Range Community College campus. The name joins the Spanish words mal and alegria, bad and joy, to say that a full life holds both highs and lows.
Three coffees make up the lineup: Parce from Colombia and Vaiven from Mexico at a medium roast, and La Nostalgia from Nicaragua at a dark roast. A Cachito sample pack puts all three in 4 ounce bags, sold whole bean or ground to order.

Where to drink it
The kiosk in the Harmony Library building opens weekdays and closes early on Fridays; one page also lists Saturday morning hours.

Small batches are roasted in Fort Collins, and the kiosk serves the Harmony Library building on the community college campus. The kiosk menu leans on Latin American drinks, including cafe de olla sweetened with panela and spiced with cinnamon and cloves, and a Dulce de Leche made from tinto.
